You can't name one damn fighter besides Ward and Lara that Golovkin has turned down. They haven't turned down either Jacobs or Alvarez. Alvarez won't even consider the fight until September next year, and they're trying to make the Jacobs fight right now. FFS, they put off the December date (which Jacobs wanted for months before Golovkin was actually ready to fight him) in order to make that fight happen next.

Pay Jacobs. If they pay Jacobs what he wants, there won't be any money left for Golovkin. This isn't that big a fight. If you think Golovkin should make less than Jacobs, which is basically what you're asking, then you're holding Golovkin to a double standard and vastly overrating Jacobs's worth as an opponent.

I thought Jacobs just asked for a bigger split of the purse bid??? He asked for 60/40 but Was denied and it stayed at 75/25 which almost everyone knows is BS. Why didn't K2 tell them they would be willing to accept a 70/30 split??? And then I'm sure they would of agreed... Personally I thought Jacobs should of got a 1/3 of the purse.

Lets assume Canelo vs GGG does 1 million ppv at $70, thats $70 million. Plus Gate revenue, plus other forms of revenue. $ 10 million is pretty low. All Canelo brings is Money, why would GGG accept low offer? The point of fighting Canelo is the money, he doesnt bring anything else.

So of that 85 million you just projected, how much are the networks going to get? Typically they get between 40 and 50 percent of the total revenue. So you can compare a fighter purse to the total revenue. You have to compare it to the total money available for purses.
