your point is valid, a split is fair, but the more likely scenario is that if ggg doesnt take the offer he gets a middle finger and the fight wont happen next year, we all know that benefits canelo a lot... imo a win over canelo could bring a lot more for ggg than a split... but we just have to wait and see how this unfolds...

It's not the same principle. Pac had options. And those options allowed him to make more than that in two fights. GGG doesn't have options & would have to fight 5 bums to make what Canelo is offering. Pac was on PPV every fight after that offer. GGG can't get on PPV without Canelo!

With boxing PPV sales suffering from a hangover from Floyd/Pac and g string not able to command very high PPV sales either, my guess is about 40 million. Out of that everyone gets paid. If g string gets 10 million, do you really think that team Canelo (the one who brings in 95%of the money) will fight for 20-25 million? Not on your life!

Major league differences between Pac/Floyd and Canelo/g string. Both Floyd and Pac were established PPv stars and had options. That's why the fight took so long to make. Canelo is as close to a PPV star as there is today and has options. Canelo is only in his twenties and will make at least 5 million no matter who he fights. g string is kicking 35 in the arse and if he won't take this fight then he has few options and none of them will net him even a 3 million dollar payday (unless he suddenly becomes willing to fight the Ward/Kov winner).

I was very su****ious of Team GGG from the beginning, I kept saying no one was ducking him, Why? Because I have seen this sort of marketing move before, especially with power punchers.

For me their decision making over the last two years has made me doubt them so much. Yes there are fighters who are not that willing to get in the ring with GGG but at the same time there are fighters who are willing to.

I just hope we get better competition with him soon enough, But it seems contrary to what they are sprouting out Team GGG are just about making money off GG back.
