I can't see Alvarez being a 5'8" SMW. But, I'm starting to wonder if it's more likely than Golovkin ever fighting there.

Canelo is still pretty young so I suspect that he will eventually be a super-middleweight. There are other fighters shorter than him that have fought at higher weights. The first fighter that immediately comes to mind is Dwight Muhammad Qawi. He was only 5 ft 7 and he fought George Foreman at heavyweight although most of his fights were at Cruiserweight and Light-heavyweight.

I think GGG has been struggling lately to make weight. I will say he moves up first especially if he happens to lose.
