Some of you knowledgeable fans please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the WBA in the process of eliminating the number of belts in each division ? They should just say that this fight is to determine the #1 contender for the WBA champion (winner of AJ - Vlad).
lucas browne was owed a title shot from a legal settlement and fres oquendo was owed a title shot from a lawsuit judgement, so the WBA was forced to have a super championship and world championship in the heavyweight division just a little bit longer in order to comply with their legal obligations.

Note: I dont know if Im just devastated and cant comprehend things right now...but the article states this title was vacated by Fury...but wasnt Tyson 'THE SUPER CHAMPION' and Chagaev the regular champion....so that would mean that Browne is getting a shot at the same title he tested positive on vs. Chagaev?......anyways....**** this division.
What are you going on about? Browne was cleared of all charges and the WBA pretty much admitted he got screwed over in Russia.

He deserves another title shot at the very least, he earned the title itself fair and square in the ring.

If you think Haye will avoid Briggs to face Parker you're vastly mistaken. Which is all besides the point anyway, Browne will beat Briggs.

Haye is fighting Bellew on pay per view in the UK, their is huge demand for it in the UK. Chances are Haye will just sit on a Bellew first round Ko win for Joshua.

Its disgraceful how gullible fans like you are....amazing what you can get away with having slick lawyers you can literally get away with murder...I guess we will pretend the clenbuterol in his system was never in his system despite the results from his drug test. Looking at another drugs cheat Tyson Fury I am not surprise how these sanctioning bodies will fold to the demands of these boxers : because he 'relinquished' his title the WBO is going to give him a shot right after he 'Gets Well'...so yeah everything is fine in the division.

British IBF champion Anthony Joshua and boxing great Vladimir Klitschko have been cleared to fight for the vacant WBA heavyweight title.

WBA president Gilberto Mendoza told BBC Sport the contest would be for the belt vacated by Tyson Fury in October.

Joshua, who is unbeaten after 17 fights, could meet Ukrainian Klitschko in the first few months of next year.

But the 27-year-old Englishman must first beat American Eric Molina in Manchester on 10 December.

Joshua and former WBA, IBF and WBO champion Klitschko, 40, might have faced each other in December.
