Rivalries, legitimate ones, where are they?

there is a serious lack in Boxing right now, there is nothing really enticing to the fans to watch, other than a few matches that play out to being intriguing, but other than that, there are no real Rivalries.

No one is hunting down anyone, taunting, going to the fights and weigh ins and calling people out anymore, and sadly, when they do, the whole scene has been diluted, they act like it's a bad thing, that it's disrespectful, well, let me tell you it is and that's the point!

it is supposed to be disrespectful, it's supposed to be engaging, it's supposed to create DRAMA! it's a great sales tactic and branding tactic. why are Boxers not doing it anymore or if they are doing it, it's like social media pansies, where it's vague or watered down? i for the life of me can not and do not like the standard line from fighters, " My manager and promoter set up my opponents and I just fight who's in front of me..." line, I absolutely hate that. What a cop out.

I miss the days when you'd see a fighter sitting ringside watching the fight, waiting for the match to be over, then get on the mic and call out his opponent! that's how fights are sold to the public.

maybe Canelo can step that game up and call out GGG? or vise versa? until they start doing that nothing will get done, and seeing how they don't do anything remotely close to that, to me that means, THEY DON'T WHAT THAT FIGHT!!!

Boxing needs a boost, and what is being done with Boxing is slowly digging it's grave... the greatest sport on this planet is being whittled into obscurity heading down this path. and don't bring up language barriers because Mayorga could sell any fight and he didn't speak a lick of english! that is what a good manager is there for!

anyways, if Boxing wants to stay alive, the way it's being treated and handled needs to change, things are changing now and have potential but things need to be stepped up, big time!

Tony bellew is doing his best to get haye in the ring. It will probably work too. When haye knocks him out he will have talked himself into his biggest payday so far.
