Sugar Ray Leonard...and, if so, what was it like?

Sugar Ray did a seminar at my college a few years ago. Unfortunately I couldn't make it, but a few of my buddies said it was awesome and that he talked to everyone for a little while afterwards and signed posters.

Iceman, I met him while he was in training for Lalonde.

He was very keyed up and intense and I got the impression he could be a difficult person to be around at times.

He's doing one of those appearances/talks at a pub in my town early next year. Hatton is doing one in the same pub a month or 2 early.
Nigel Benn did one there a few weeks back. I've never been to one of those events..Leonard is appealing though.

I met Sugar Ray Leonard in 1992 in Memphis, Tennessee. I was walkin' down the street minding my own business, just walking on. Feelin' good. I walk around the corner when a man walks up, hits me in my chest, right. I fall on the ground, right. I look up and it's Sugar Ray Leonard. I said 'Mr. Leonard??' he said 'Ooops, I thought you were some body else.


My memories of him aren't very fond, to say the least.
