To make it worse, NSB is late with youtube. The crappy quality video embeds on this site as if its exclusive content or has any weight against new media.
Well he said that Ward is not the same fighter as he was 4-5 years ago - which is not really a revelation. A 32 yr old athlete who was inactive for 18 months is most likely going to be lacking some sharpness. He also said that he was getting hit by Barrera ... who didn't belong in the ring with Ward - lol. He said that Ward needs 2 more tuneups to regain full sharpness.
Ward on the other hand, to deflect comments about lack of sharpness is saying that he now fights more conservatively, less energy wasted, more ring iq, a la Mayweather.

We will see.
before the Barrera fight, Sanchez said that Ward was old, faded, and not a real light heavyweight.....
..... my how times change
Regarding the subject of Andre Ward..... Ward > Sanchez
I would have liked at least 1 more fight before Kovalev, but Ward thinks that he is ready now.
I definitely think that Ward has refined his style.
" thinking " fighters do that..... we saw it with Mayweather, Hopkins, etc.....
MOST trainers pick Ward, Sanchez has chosen to pick Kovalev..... he is entitled to his own opinion, but I would bet my left testicle that his opinion is clouded by the very messy ward-gate situation.....
..... I think he hopes that Ward will lose, so that he can run around telling stories about how Golovkin would have beaten him as well.
If Ward beats Kovalev, after the fight Sanchez will state that Ward looked like a real light heavyweight and that he could not have made 168 18 months ago, and that Ward never seriously chased a fight with Gennady.
