  • Oscar, the charlatan has spoken again. It was not actually Canelo who gave up the belt, but Golovkin run away, and Canelo just decided to "gift" it to GGG as a sign of good gesture.

Winner takes 70% of the fight loser 30% of the fight. This is what I call a boxing star, a fighter with dignity, the one who fights anybody willing to fight and keeps winning.

      Cotto-Canelo grossed $58m from 900,000 PPV buys.

I'll leave you to have a think about that.

Check Cotto's resume and then check GGG's resume! Think about that.

When the fight does happen and Canelo taps that ass I don't wanna hear any excuses from you idiots! I want you to get back on this site and give Canelo his props. No excuses!
One of the most ******ed posts I've ever had the misfortune of reading.

          Keep up the good work.

Why should GG accept that BS offer, which would make Oscar and Canelo significantly more? They don't deserve it.
So it's double Golovkin's career best (which he accepted with no PPV backside, which makes it not BS). He should accept the deal because Alvarez is content not fighting him, and frankly does not need him. As long as he can pull in 300K or better PPVs, he's gonna make good money, and Golovkin will never see any of it. Mayweather took a lowball offer from DLH, but after beating him took his position as the cash king in the sport. Sometimes you have to lose the battle to win the war. Like I said, Golovkin doesn't have a lot of time left to waste.

Golovkin team have been saying they will destroy canelo so do it and offer a rematch with golovkin as the A side in 2018 to get a bigger slice of the pie
What's the sense in Oscar holding his current stance, when Canelo only had a $3.5m guarantee in his last fight against Smith which bombed on PPV?

GG's just made $5m for Brook, so I think he could make that again for a BJS fight in the U.K. with a good promotion. So he should be able to make more than $6m for both BJS and Jacobs.

A flat fee is ****ing BS.

Just work out your own basic sums.

Canelo's fight with Cotto grossed just under $60m.

I think it's safe to assume that this would do quite a bit more. Personally, I think somewhere in the region of $80m. I think that's realistic. So tell me how on earth $10m is fair?

Also, there's no guarantee there'd be a rematch.

Because Golovkin won't see a total anywhere near that without Alvarez, whereas Alvarez has already exceeded that number. 80/20 to 70/30 Alvarez makes sense. Golovkin is popular, but nowhere near Alvarez's level in the drawing department. The guy is in total mismatches still getting at least 300K buys, and Golovkin is fighting in unification matches not breaking 100K. That's saying something.

                  • For someone that hates Mayweather so much, he sure copies his BS fight avoiding & stalling, fan & media manipulating tactics. So disappointing.

Canelo would **** a brick if GGG called his bluff !! It's time for GGG to go after BJS and get that last title and then turn his attention to the 168 fighters. If Oscarnelo were seriuos, they'd offer GGG a 65/35 + ppv % split and the fight would be on !!
65/35 is a percentage split --65% for Canelo and 35% for GGG. Are you saying a % split on top of that?
