154 has a lot of SOGBs (Scared of Golovkin Boys)
You don't see the irony in your post? How can you knock them for not waiting to move up while praising GGG for being complacent at 160lb?

Charo vs any of the belt holders at 160 would be terrific fights.

But he does have to get past j-rock, which will be no easy task

GGG is close to becoming the first undefeated, undisputed, unified MW champ in years. And with 17 title defenses he's only 3 shy of Bhops' division record. So why would he want to leave the division now !! Bring on Jacobs, BJS, Charlo, and Canelo for the record-breaking defense #21 !!

Are we even considering there's really more than one belt holder at 160? They're mostly just stalling & trying to cash checks, wouldn't use this as any type of scale for measuring initial tests in the division though unless he plans the same hostage negotiator tactic as they have.

Saunders; really? Hasn't even made a defense yet. Jacobs; the secondary WBA Champ that may be about to vacate? Canelo, I know he's still considered the Lineal but he's not fought at 160 limit yet & you're recommending acclimating to the weight by fighting another SWW? Quillen & Lee are big for MW for that matter & would be great initial barometers.

I can understand that these may end up being decent match-ups but quite varied styles. Why not match up vs a solid contender/gatekeeper like Lemieux or Stevens & test their power? Even better; Sulecki or Eubank. Some keep making this claim that MW is weak, yet you take the top SWW guys, plug them in the new division & still we have no idea how good any of these guys are...just best guesses & deductive reasoning...

because Golovkin has been DESTROYING everything put in front of him! People keep calling for new tests, yet we still have little to no info to assess these new challengers. This is why GGG's past opponents are the best test for anyone new to the division. Comparable data! Does Gennady need stiffer competition? Of course, just not sure either Charlo is it.

What are you seeing that leads you to believe it will be any more competitive than Monroe or even Brook for that matter. Fighters don't seem to have a chance if GGG doesn't respect their power. Jermall doesn't look to be the type of fighter to cause him any problems at all. Sure, he has some pop & athleticism so he has a chance, but nothing that sets him from the pack at SMW that I see...Gennady should walk right through him.

He'll end up staying there as long as he can I think, as you say the landscape looks much better in the near future & you know as soon as Gennady moves up there will be an influx of talent looking for those belts & claiming he moved up only to avoid someone.

The goal was all the belts to force the "names" into fights, why abandon that strategy now? Move up if there's something better, looking at the horizon now just isn't the time.

Sergey Kovalev is 6 ft tall and only one inch bigger than these Charlo twins. Curtis Stevens is only 5'7". I don't see why it would be a big deal to see them move up. They used to be lean and skinny. Now they're looking like incredible Hulk.

People keep saying that, but who are we supposed to be excited to see GGG fight at 168?

                      Badou Jack? Bute? Degale?

I seriously don't give a **** about any of those fights.

The only people I want to see Golovkin fight in Lara, one of the Charlos, Canelo, BJS, and Danny Jacobs.

Y'all keep acting like 168 is some stacked division full of people we care about. It's a desert until you get to LHW
