Person- Seems to be a true down-to-earth, good human

Ambassador- If people could get past the rough exterior, he'd be awesome.

Intelligence Towards Boxing- Obviously knows a great deal, loves the sport.

Trainer/teacher- Too wordy, intellectual. This is where his down-to-earthiness takes a hit....he's an egomaniac

TV Fight Analyst- Horribly redundant. Never lets the action speak for itself, ever.

I agree with this for the most part.I think he does a good job on TV though besides the fact he is always talking and saying the same thing over and over.........But he is generally right about what he is saying.I think he does it though thinking that most people watching really don't know much about boxing or are just casual fans.

teddy atlas would make a great commisioner.he's unapproachable to the sleaze factor in boxing. pedro fernandez would be my second choice.with his big mouth and astuate boxing commentarys he'd have the arums and kings of boxing running for cover.

I think you have to approach it like nobody knows the sport because it helps attract a new viewer...I tend to think that the less you know of something, in this case a sport, the less interested you are...so Teddy, by explaining everything, it helps make the new viewer comfortable, understand what is going on, allowing it to be easier to follow, thus enjoying what he sees.

Atlas stands up for what he believes in and he has good ideas on getting corruption out of boxing, certainly at least removing bad judges with su****ious agendas. However, he is very outspoken and I don't see him playing the political games which would allow him to keep the support that would let him stay commissioner for long.

Teddy Atlas is awesome. You can tell he loves the sport...its great when he starts yelling during his commentaries. I think he's great for the sport and would make a good comminsioner. He probably won't know the politics side of it which would hurt him but that would be a good thing for boxing; no agenda for him besides boxing itself.
