Comments Thread For: Dmitry Bivol, Sergey Kuzmin Pick Up Big Wins in Ekaterinburg

In a non-title ten-round light heavyweight affair, Russian prodigy Dmitry Bivol was forced to go the distance for the second time in a row. WBA #1 Bivol, aged 25, effectively outboxed and outslugged durable Czech-based Ukrainian Evgueny Makhteyenko (8-6, 7 KOs) with identical scores: 100-90 - making it a clear sweep.

I'd like to see Bivol in with a top 25 to 50 light heavyweight next time out.

Meaningless opponents won't motivate him to improve and be at his best.

Kuzmin shouldn't waste his time with bums like Sheppard.

Put Bivol in with someone like Karo Murat, Dariusz Sek or Enrico Koelling. Kuzmin I'm not as sure about what level he's at, I have only seen a little of him. Maybe match him with somebody like Rekowski or Musafarov
