Wow. Is this official? If the WBA guys were capable of shame they would be feeling it. Briggs fighting for a vacant title is a abomination....the biggest abomination of the week the fight goes down sadly as abominations & boxing go hand & hand with dumb **** like Browne vs Briggs for a title belt.

Whatever doe, titles mean less & less & continue on that trend with fights like this. Anyway as for the fight I suppose I like Briggs by KO early, then Browne by KO in the mid rounds & then past the 9th or so, if it gets that far & both are still standing I guess anyone could take it unless Briggs is wheezing too hard throw punches./

I knew it, I knew it. The "Shannon Briggs Bum 'o the Month Club" route to a title shot, worked again!

That said, I like this matchup. Lucas Browne is no ****in' pushover - I've seen fights where he looked atrocious but then he comes back and boxes beautifully in his victory against Ruslan Chagaev. Browne is limited to some extent, but he's also highly motivated, tough as nails and showed some boxing ability as I stated.

Briggs is also highly motivated but his stamina is suspect and he's fought bums for the last 3 years. Briggs is an experienced veteran and this is probably his last shot at a major title. You have to believe that he's gonna lay it all down on the line.

For everyone complaining the WBA sucks (they do), this is a solid, as any, HW matchup. These two guys are every very close in their abilities and I think that translates into a very competitive and entertaining fight.
