In article after article, no doubt imo in a move to try and save face, everyone seems pretty comfortable talking about K2 "negotiating Golovkin-Jacobs for March", yet I've yet to see anything from the WBA.

From what's been put out there, November 2nd is still the pending date for the purse bid for the middleweight mandatory defense, and the WBA's own very rules have stated that the fight would have to be staged by January 12, 2017.

    am I missing something?

No you aren't missing anything. I've been wondering the same thing. The first I heard of the Feb/Mar date was Sanchez. I mentioned Jan 12th was the the last day the fight could be staged but I got ignored (aside from the guy who thought they had 120 days to stage the fight AFTER it was signed). It's just like the Dec 10th date. Loeffler said the fight was happening Dec 10th without even having the fight signed. Then he says they're moving the date and everybody blames Jacobs.

A week ago Loeffler asked for an extension because he said the fight was close to being finalized. Here we are a week later and nothing. None of the usual talk from Loeffler or Sanchez. I've seen more talk about the Canelo fight and just the other day GGG talked about Saunders instead of Jacobs. I was very optimistic this fight would be signed when the mandatory was announced. Now I'm not sure. I don't understand all these delays when there's a process in place (purse bid) to get the fight signed if the negotiations stall. They've stalled and Loeffler wants to keep extending them

You'll find out in a week. I doubt they will grant any more extensions on the purse bid.
