history will show mayweather won all this slow mo stuff will mean nothing when ppl look back at the record books theres no outcry for a robbery no investigation just salty fans who were calling floyd a coward a chicken and expected pac to bulldoze him when it didnt happen they found other ways to claim victory

whatever makes you happy good for you
Floyd won the fight but he did absolutely nothing in the fight. I can't remember him landing a combination at all. PAC actually landed the more meaningful punches and pressed the action the majority of the fight. 7-5 floyd

Floyd didn't want a prime Pacquiao. That is the chief reason they didn't fight until 2015, instead of when both men were prime in 2009. Sure, they made a lot of money; great for them, but we got a lackluster fight between two fighters way past their prime. It was probably the biggest disappointment of the year. Do you want something like that with Canelo & Golovkin? Everyone agrees that this fight is huge NOW. There is no need to "marinate" it.

Schaefer is shamelessly trying to sow seeds of discontent between Canelo and Golden Boy This guy is a real snake.

No Arum had some milking left to do just like Oscar does.

Fight is huge now but only a fool thinks its not getting bigger

              Smart guy.
You are right. Schaefer is smart, but people aren't ******. They see through him.

I'm pretty sure the reason they didn't fight in 2009 wasn't entirely down to Floyd. IIRC Arum, Koncz, Aliza, Pacquaio and Roach were all playing silly buggers during that time. Who can forget the bloodtest gate around those first negotiations? 'Manny's afraid of needles'
'Manny is weakened when blood is taken' 'Manny is superstitious' followed by, 'Manny will take the test as long as there is a 30-day cut-off'

You have to admit, Manny and his team avoided the fight like the plague back then.

Was the Manny in 2009 the same Manny that fought Floyd in 2015? No. Would Manny have beaten Floyd back then? Possibly. The Manny that fought Cotto seemed indestructible. Was Manny doping back then? Yeah I reckon he was.

He was an incredible puncher back then. He didn't seem at all deterred by taking punches clean in the face, never seemed to run out of gas, seemed to be able to knock people down with either hand, even though he was a flawed fighter.

Then all of a sudden he's going 12 with Rios who's shaking his head and grinning at him? Don't buy it.

Isn't the "manny is afraid of needles a myth"?

All I had read was: "Manny is shocked with the idea of getting blood taken from here close to a fight because he feels he gets too weak". From that to "he's afraid of needles" is simply ******.

Who can believe a boxer can be afraid of needles?
Someone who has tattooes, someone who has slept in the streets.

                  It doesn't make sense.

People is very fast buildying myths...

Look at: "Golovkin rejected the 155 CW offer" or "Golovkin rejected 10 millions". Two myths created by people and used to bash a fighter.

I agree with Slick Ricky. Its a shame Oscar isn't maximizing Canelo's opportunities. And f#ck even if Canelo lost to GGG all it does it build the drama more & the money more for the rematch in the future. Canelo's career is ultimately being held up by Oscar's desire to protect his cash cow vs taking some risks with him that would make him even bigger than he is now. Canelo vs Liam Smith probably does 2x the numbers it did if Canelo had beaten GGG in May.
