They're all TR fighters... Why would Arum sacrifice his next cash cow in Loma to Manny?
Or is that a loss to Manny would be less damaging to Loma than it would be to Crawford.
Either way... Loma IS still too small for Manny... He can still make 126! And he's going to suddenly jump up to 140?
I think Arum is eager for Loma to move up to 140 where all the big fights can be made.Comment

Always believed Loma would get the Manny fight over TC. TC has the Omaha fanbase. Loma needs to develop a fanbase. Fighting and beating Manny in a high profile Vegas fight would be the best chance for him to do that.
WOuldn't be surprised if Loma/Manny happens in late 2017 or early 2018 at 140, assuming Manny can still make 140.Comment

Idk, even if Manny is small enough to make 135 he might be too old to squeeze that much extra weight out w/o issue. He'd probably be a dead man.
Not to mention that Loma is not even a 135lber. He's barely a 130lber.
Manny-TCraw remains the fight to make
Loma-Mikey Garcia is far more interesting to me, but SHO has made it clear that they are planning to build towards Garcia-Broner which definitely means no risky fights like Loma for some time. (Though, Broner-Granados strikes me as a bit of a risk)Last edited by BrometheusBob.; 10-27-2016, 01:38 PM.Comment

Anyways, my belief is that Arum thinks Loma wins this fight. Obviously it's a major platform to showcase Loma's skills to mainstream audiences. Pacquiao did the same thing with De La Hoya.Comment

He said if he eats regularly, not in excess, WHILE TRAINING, he can make 140. He never said he walks around 140 out of training camp.

I'm all for good fights. I don't want to fall into that line of thinking of in-house or not; labeling something "in house" nowadays seems to be some kind of poor attempt at undermining a bout. Good fights are good fights. Thurman-Garcia, good fight. Loma-Walters, good fight. Crawford-Postol, good fight on paper. Santa Cruz-Frampton, good fight.Comment
