Comments Thread For: Anthony Joshua Set To Defend Title Against Eric Molina 12/10/16

Number 4 Ranked IBF Champion Anthony Joshua 17-0(17KO'S) will take on Number 23 Ranked Top Contender Eric Molina 25-3(19KO'S) in the second defence of his title.

The 34-year-old was pictured as he made his way to Manchester on Thursday morning to officially announce the fight on December 10.

Joshua had been ready to face heavyweight legend Wladimir Klitschko 64-4(53KO'S) but the Ukrainian suffered an injury in training.

That fight could now take place next spring.

Joshua's domestic rival David Price 21-3(18KO'S) was also in the running to face the 2012 Olympic champion but he has been overlooked for Molina.

Ah well, will take your word for it.

Joshua chins him in 2 rounds.

Yeah I know. Nevertheless, Joshua usually has a feeler in the first round.

Wondering what made them choose Molina over Price. Interesting choice. Not as fun.

He'll probably fight Price or Pulev in March and set up a July fight With Wlad, Wlad probably fights Browne or Ustinov in March to pick WBA title so they can unify and fight for the vacant Ring and Lineal titles as well, Cause if Joshua fights and beats Pulev that's better than anything on Wilder's career, makes him #2 automatically

Everyone was excited about the HW division and we've had nothing but disappointment. Both Haye and Joshua were free, it's a massive money fight, why didn't they even try to make it? Instead we get this and whatever bum Haye announces.

We all know that Hearn won't risk Joshua with Haye esp not yet, Wlad was looking really old in his last two fights and hasn't fought in a year so they saw the perfect opportunity with Wlad, but Haye is way too risk for Matchroom at the moment
