Roy Jones Jr is getting pretty old. Right now he is 47-years-old and he's turning 47 in January. Do you guys think he should retire? I sure do. I think he should go for the biggest fight he can get and go out in style. But the last thing I would want to see is for him to gets seriously hurt because he did not know when to call it quits. No doubt he is a living legend. What do you guys think?
Should Roy Jones Jr Retire?

he should've been retired years ago. he has totally tarnished his legacy, to where he will just be another sad story in boxing, when he could've been one of the most admired.
sadly, father time has already caught him, now the fight has to be beaten out of him, and you'd think it would've happened by now with one of his KO losses he's accrued in the latter half of his career.
he still has a lot to offer boxing, but not inside the ring as a fighter. -

I think Roy regularly watches highlight videos of himself on youtube and those videos have him believing he's still got it. He thinks if he trains hard enough and wants it badly enough, he could summon up the old Roy Jones. But that guy is gone and has been gone for quite some time now.
Ideally he should have retired after Ruiz or at least after he beat Jeff Lacy.Comment

1-A new poster does not just jump out making threads.
2-Roy has a huge thread talking about GGG so he is a target
3-Read what he wrote."i dont want to see roy hurt" the man has been ko'd several times,Comment

Im 47, Roy's age, and have been watching boxing since I was 13, consistently....I don't think I have ever seen a fighter tarnish his legacy the way Roy has....Who knows how he'd be thought of if he'd quit after Ruiz...he is pretty much the only GOAT level fighter who I worry might actually die in there...Just to those who think Im criticizing Roy unfairly, I think Roy would have beaten pretty much everyone in history from 160 to 175Comment
