If fighthype is smart they should write things about potential matchups Mayweather is working on. Who would not be interested if you are a boxing fan especially in the current situation?
They barely post articles, they post interviews, which is where most of that Schaefer/Mayweather chatter came from (both of them). Wouldn't it be smart to just STFU?

I said it when he announced his retirement fight; he's not coming back. It looked like he might be having 2rd thoughts for a while, especially after the trademark, but it's been too long now. Unless he's still spending more than he can sustain, he's not going to risk his legacy for 1 more payday.

I think if he was going to comeback, it would have been this September vs Garcia, that's why Garcia had been waiting out on Floyd's next move. Hearn said he was told Garcia was waiting on Floyd's move when he enquired about Brook v Garcia, which i believe was true. My feeling is that the longer Floyd has been retired, the less he feels like fighting again. It's only natural when you don't need the money. Maybe he's got other business interests that are making him good money still.

Roach said earlier this year that Floyd had still been in the gym because he had used Roach's gym somewhere. Maybe Floyd was testing the water and just doesn't feel he has it anymore to go through another whole camp and has actually called it a day.

I reckon if he's not in the ring in May 2017, he never will be again. He's almost 40 though and made enough money, he should stay retired.

McGregor dropped the rock on it. If they could've kept the McGregor train going, Floyd would've gladly given a boxing lesson for half a billion.

He'll be back, possibly for even more than one fight. Don't be naive.

What do u mean it's been too long?. Jmm still considering last fight and he's been out of ring foir longer.
Risk legacy? When has Floyd ever did that? If he fights the likes of berto there is no risk to legacy. He's not fighting GGG next that's for sure. You don't need crystal ball to predict that

He's around 40. By the time any return happened he'd have been out of the ring for 2 years. Let's not indulge this fantasy that he's going to be able to return as the same guy. Or, that he would be coming back for anything but a great payday (meaning it's not going to be an easy opponent).
This isn't like taking a couple years off when you're 25.
