Ward can punch harder than you think.....at 175lbs it hurts

Anybody especially a professional boxer punching you in the face at 175 lbs is going to hurt. Ward doesn't hit like Kov but at that size it's no walk in the park if any fighter is peppering you with shots.

I pretty much agree. Kovalev is good at what he does. He cuts off the ring well and when he lands, his punches are a deciding factor. Ward isn't quite the slippery eel that Mayweather was but he he has the right mix of defensive angles, footwork and countering to where I think he's going to prevail in a much criticized points-raid.
Too bad this fight's significance isn't garnering more overall attention in the sportsworld in general. It is this years really only true supefight.
Take note Canelo and Golovkin: This is how shrugging off monotonous details and overcoming excuses yields results. The money's never going to be perfect. Get over yourselves and sign the damn contract!

Depends how Kovalev conditioning holds up people say he needs to go to war with Ward but tbh I think otherwise remaining calm and collected and doing what he did with B-hop would be an effective measure to fighting Ward.

I don't think you can blame Golovkin for the Canelo fight at all, GGG got himself into the mandatory position where Canelo couldn't say much he gave him one voluntary defense then instead of fighting GGG he dumped his belt this is clearly the fault of one person.

I don't think Kov will be able to be as calm and collected as in the BHop fight. I think Ward will move his hands a lot more than BHop did. I feel like when BHop fight got a feel for Kov's power, he got intimidated. I don't expect that to happen to Ward (I could be wrong). He will make several adjustments. Also, that jab to the body that Ward likes will be crucial. They will take away Kov's rhythm and diminish his punching power. Both are extremely good and this will be quite the chess match. I just feel like Ward has that extra wrinkle to his game...

I agree, I call it deceptive power it may not be decapitating but its enough to gain respect and let a fight know they can't just rush in.
