I recall the night of the fight Leo saying he was going to box w/ Frampton for the first several rds, on his father's advice. That made me cringe and, sure enough, it didn't work. He got hit too much and never got his stride.
Santa has 1 mode; steady volume+pressure. If he starts out getting countered again, he'll never have a chance because his style is a marathon, not a sprint. He's gotta start heavy ans stay heavy.

I disagree with the idea that Frampton has a lot more than what he showed that night. BS, I've watched him a long time and have been saying he's real deal, but he was giving his all that night. What Carl does have is the ability to bring different looks. I think he'll do less trading and more footwork to implement the counters that worked so well for him.

a little bit more forceful sustained pressure by LSC and frampton would have been seriously hurt several times....

this will be going to a trilogy to maintain economic viability for al haymon and pbc without having to deal with other promoters.

      just watch...

That was probably the case with Jacobs-Mora but it's not the case here.

Santa Cruz and Frampton had a great fight. Some people had Frampton winning some had Santa Cruz winning and a lot of people had it a draw.

Great fights like that deserve a rematch. And if the next is just as good or better we deserve a trilogy.

If the 1st fight is anything to go by then this should be a cracker. This was probably the best fight I saw this year.

He threw 1100 last time - not sure the xtra 100 will do it - quality over quantity will get it

            Conspiracy alert here.

the extra "forceful sustained pressure" never came because Frampton countered him with harder.

Yeah he started out pretty late. But end of the fight Frampton looked way more tired.

Don't forget he took a lot of time of training for his dad. And originally wanted to call of the fight but his dad didn't want to. And even when they got to NY they did a bunch of site seeing and such again taking away from training and the #1 task.

                Leo wins this fight.

Frampton has his number. Too much lateral movement, better counter puncher and better defensively.

I like Leo though and this fight being away from NY is important but skills wise Frampton all day.
