Are you implying that chocalito did the equivalent to this?

I fear this scenario is the most likely.

I don't know, I really like Gonzalez and he may be a better fighter than either Kovalev or Ward, but his recent record isn't enough for me to rank him above the winner of this fight. Because neither guy is much a star I feel like people are underestimating how big it is to have two of the five best fighters in the world face each other. The only way you don't rank the winner of that fight number one is if there's an incredibly secure number one.

Like, if Floyd was still fighting I could see him staying in that spot ahead of the Kovalev-Ward winner. Even then there would be serious questions about it. Right now there is no strong #1 and the spot's kind of up for grabs.

No real fan listens to a trainer hyping a fight and takes their opinion as fact.

I am a fan of both Kovalev and GGG and I have GGG #1 right now but will be immediately replacing him with the Kov/Ward winner after that fight.

He said fighter of the year not fight of the year.

You my friend is a rare breed even though I don't agree with ggg being #1 on your list for simple fact can't credit for fights that didn't happen to be consider #1, I can say though it's refreshing to hear a fan of his not defend stuff Abel say as gospel

                  I doubt it.

Both lack that charisma it takes to transcend the sport like Floyd and Manny did.

Adrien Broner BELIEVE IT OR NOT has more star potential than Ward and Kov.

And just becoming the p4p doesn't guarantee star power

                  Ask Roman Gonzalez.

I think most real fans of GGG can't stand Sanchez big mouth. Then there's the real fanboys that take it as gospel of course... GGG is a hell of a fighter but Sanchez talks out his azzzz way too often on his behalf
