Was just checking the ESPN calender and PBC has a card on Spike out of New York (no venue listed) on December 16th.

Any ideas on who could headline?

The WBA purse bid for Golovkin-Jacobs was pushed back to November 5th, with the winning promoter under obligation to stage the fight by January 12, 2017.

It's a Friday, so the date is likely not reserved for Golovkin-Jacobs, but the stage is already set.

Jacobs is already in camp for a fight, and K2 is not only not having Golovkin fight this year, he's also being positioned for a fight well beyond the WBA's current deadline.

K2 has twelve days to work something out; if not, the fight goes to bid, the fallout from that happens (Golovkin's camp already telegraphed their move with the talk of fighting Matt Korobov), Jacobs takes a tick-over fight in December, before setting the stage for the full WBA title fight against Alfonso Blanco in early 2017 (if not getting simply elevated by the WBA).
