Robert Easter Jr isn't all the way seasoned just yet; as big as his title win was, Easter won what was basically a 50/50 fight that he needed a big 12th round to barely edge.

Mikey Garcia has the time off to likely still work through, and the sheer physicality is also likely something to deal with. but he's already got the experience on his ledger to make it clear that he knows how to fight at the top level (Burgos, Lopez, Martinez, Salido was a legit run).

I like Easter a lot and think he's got a bright future. But, Mikey is too crafty. Easter would catch him with some jabs but Garcia's footwork is good enough to get around the reach. He'd expose Robert's defensive holes and tendency to leave himself open when in-fighting. Given a year and a half, I could see this possibly being very competitive. Right now, I think it would just derail Easter's career.
