Funny how no one is mentioning Robert Easter jr

Mikey wants to fight Zlaticanin, Linares talks about Mikey, but no one mentions Easter's name. I wonder how could that be...

Could we have a boogeyman on our hands?

Linares was mandated to face Zlalaltla to solidify the WBC : if Mikey beat Zlalalta in this voluntary defense then the order applies to Garcia thats why people are not talking about Easter Jr just yet. Since Robert is the owner of the IBF you know they will push for mandatory challengers right away ; remember this is the same sanctioning body that stripped Fury for electing to defend against the former Lineal champion...so I hope Easter Jr gets his mando out the way but even if he did it looks like by that time Linares could be facing the winner of Garcia zlalalal whatever his name is.

And speaking about boogeymen you really need to play the part and I have not seen him dominate I think there is room for improvement but nothing strikes me that suggest other would avoid him.

Every time a promising guy comes up & reaches a certain point there is a juice not being worth the squeeze, too good for the pay scale their on dynamic in play that makes them unappealing guys to fight for the guys everyone wants to see them fight. Easter probably is one of those guys now or is certainly close to being one of those guys.

Easter has only just come onto the scene. Give it time.

Well the Division is filled with plenty of talent, 135 is LOADED so I'm sure Easter will be very busy trying to keep that IBF Strap. Jose Felix Jr. is his #1 Contender now based on IBF Rankings with Verdejo at #2 once he makes it back from that Accident.

But yeah his size would make for a tough match up so maybe that is why people are not calling him or is all that eager to fight him

I have been a fan of his but I don't see any reason why people would call him out right now. He's not a draw and he hasn't accomplished a lot yet other than looking dangerous. Let him get a little more exposure and see what kind of reaction he gets from the division. Honestly, as much as I like Easter, he still has some things to work on so I'm fine with him taking his time.

Easter just got his belt in September, and is likely heading to Toledo for a homecoming fight early next year.

Once that gets done, we'll see what folks have to say.

Easter has one win of note, that too against a guy who was in the same boat as Easter at the time. Bot where unproven contenders for what I think was vacant title.

Easter is at best, 5th or 6th in the 135 pecking order.

Linares, McDonnell, Zlat and possibly Mikey all have business with each other.
