Canelo by a mile. Lemieux is slow, plodding, predictable. Everything Canelo preys on.

Canelo is also slow and plodding, and he can only roll and block so many punches. Lemieux would be on top of him from the opening bell and he doesn't smother his own work. Canelo would be forced to fight and rely on his heart and courage.

Canelo easily, Lemiuex probably hits as hard as Angulo and Kirkland and we saw what Canelo does to power punchers, he loves this style and will probably stop Lemiuex in less than 4 rounds

Word. Lemieux poses a big threat to Canelo, it's hard for me to imagine Oscar pitting two of his own against eachother, especially if one of those is Canelo, his golden goose.

That's the most misunderstood thing about Canelo. He's not light on his feet but he's a fast thinker with quick power shots and applies counters with very precise timing. I'd even call him a very active thinker at this point. He gives the appearance of being slow but his reflexes are a level above Genady Golovkin (but not in par with elite defensive fighters). Canelo's problem is that he trusts his defensive reflexes too much. He'll be fine against Lemieux but Golovkin will catch him eventually.

I do think that Canelo wins easily, but you can quote me - this fight doesn't happen for at least 2 years (if Lemieux can even make 160 by then). Too much risk, no reward.

And while Lemieux is not a technical genius by any means, he mostly struggles against guys who move well. If Canelo sits and tries to counter, it may not work out well for him. The reflexes only take you so far. At some point, you gotta get out of a bad situation.

Keep in mind - Canelo has never faced a guy who was bigger than him. This is not an overreaction to his recent opponents. But his whole career has been built on having a size advantage. Lemieux is gonna be at least as solid as him.

Lemieux isn't some mindless face first brawler, he would time Canelo and land shots and he would have plenty opportunity to do so. Canelo isn't as effective fighting off the backfoot, and LeMule feeds off of momentum and builds off of success. Canelo would be forced to fight his fight.
