I said that Golovkin got exposed by getting hit a lot by a cautious smaller fighter. Canelo didn't get hit a lot so I can't say the same thing. I'd be lying.

canelo did get hit a lot in the khan fight by a smaller fighter. khan was trying to survive more so than trying to take canelo's head off like what brook tried to do with ggg. khan still landed the cleaner shots when he would chooses to throw. if ggg got exposed, so did canelo.

Those punch stats that you guys seem to be so fund of tell a different story. Khan landed a paltry 48 of 166 punches for 29%. It really is staggering when you compare it to the 85 of 261 for 32% that Brook was able to land on the defensive wizard Gennady Golovkin.

This is worst performance of Golovkin's defense. And even in that, Brook landed 32% and 85 punches. Golovkin landed more punches at 44%.
In Mayweather vs. Castillo 1, Castillo landed 200 punches, connecting on 40% - which is the same 17punches/round connect rate. Did you hear any moron say that Floyd is a crappy defensive fighter?

Well technically the thread is about who gets hit less...not who has the better defense. If you score early KOs, most likely you'll be hit less...is what it is.
