Honestly, I never saw much hype for him on this forum.

Very disappointed I bet. But I always wondered why they never brought him stateside to showcase him more.

          Step back for Ogogo.

I just got texted the result for this fight as I was on my way home. It did not come as a surprise. I can't remember the context of the thread but a year or so ago I said Ogogo was concentrating too much on being a celebrity, something fighters do after an established career, rather than concentrating on creating an established boxing base.

Then I found out that he was fighting Cunningham, who I've seen on the small hall shows here in England and he is a solid fighter. Levels above the guys Ogogo was fighting before and I just felt an upset could be on the cards.

What makes it worse is that I'm hearing he quit. If that's true, then I'm shocked. Ogogo has always been very determined in the gym and apart from the slight mental dip following his issues around 2012, I always felt he had a big heart. This is really surprising me.

His run to a bronze medal was filled with controversy, like Joshua's. He got a gift decision over Khytrov. He was hyped mainly because he was a model and a bronze medalist and thought they could use that to build him up.

Welcome to Boxing Scene. The search function is always available to use. You can type in Ogogo and then proceed from there..

Ogogo was never that good, he was at the lucky side of the decisions against the huge puncher Khyrtov and the mini Kessler, Hartel, in London 2012, he was hyped because of his looks, good for him, can be a model since today.

Nobody is giving Cunningham any credit, he had a look of determination on him. The fight was stopped to re tape AO's gloves and there was a delay and the corner threw in the towel.

People are still in shock that they did not witness another robbery in the UK! but Cunninham knew this coming into the fight and smashed Ogogo! but Cunningham better enjoy his 15 minutes of fame before he faces an American.
