Tonight's challenger, Argentine Marcos Maidana, will earn a minimum payout of $3 million, doubling his guarantee for Mayweather vs Maidana 1 in May. But don't feel bad for Maidana because he collected royalties from Argentine television rights as well as an additional $1.5 million for adhering to Mayweather's last-minute request when the camps disagreed on what type of gloves the Argentine would wear.Comment

It wasnt the biggest fight in boxing lol, it did 350k. That's why there's upside, if it does great you get more. And it'll do great if people wanna see the matchup.Comment

Canelo Ggg is the biggest fight in boxing now. If Floyd came back, it's him vs Canelo or Ggg. We've seen him tool Canelo already, it was more one sided that Guerrero lol. All the casuals would be tuning in to see Floyd get brutalized vs Ggg.Comment

Cotto -Canelo 2 still bigger,GGG is not on same drawing Lvl like Canelo or Cotto not even close ,if Canelo-GGG does 800 K its succes.Comment

Cotto rematch is not doing better. That's not the biggest fight in boxing, more of a disgraceful cherry pick. We've seen it already and it wasn't that great, Cotto is too small.Comment

I'm fairly certain that Alvarez and Maidana both got whatever money that was generated on the Mexico/Latin America/South America TV rights; whether Maidana also got a share on the PPV, I doubt.Comment
