Comments Thread For: Canelo vs. Saunders Showdown Fully Backed By WBO Prez

World Boxing Organization President Francisco 'Paco' Valcarcel is fully in support of a potential fight between WBO middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders (23-0, 12KOs) and challenger Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez (48-1-1, 34KOs), who holds the WBO's world title at 154-pounds.

Canelo will continue on with weak opposition he won't fight BJS and no chance of GGG.

The question is whether Canelo and Saunders are onboard? Here's the bottom line:

I don't agree with everything Dan says in the article, but one thing is for sure, 2016 SUCKS!!!

Far better chance of this fight going down than GGG. Just hope the winner grows the balls after this fight to take on the real champ at MW

After the way they blew off Willie Monroe in a supposed next opponent fight, I seriously doubt it. They basically said they want nothing to do with awkward slick defensive boxers.

Monroe got blown off because he looked terrible in his last fight and he has no World Title.Saunders was able to take advantage of Andy Lee's lack of hand speed.Alvares has very slow feet, but lightning quick hands. I think GGG is the only Middleweight who can beat Alvares.

My theory might still have shine. Told yall before, the 154 WBO was so that Alvarez can get a shot at the 160 WBO. As we can see:

Saunders said he is willing to cross the pond and said Alvarez will fork up the money. Now, the WBO is acknowledging this theory by recent statements.

              Why?

Because Golovkin needs the WBO to cement this hyped Legacy. With GBP having the 160 WBO belt puts it all in stalemate for A side bidness... again..
