Why all the hate for Golovkin?

I know this message may be unpopular but I am posting it anyway. I do not take into account things outside of the ring for many fighters, inside it, Golovkin is a great fighter.

Regardless of recent events, I feel Canelo is as well. So was Brook in his fight with GGG, which I want to speak more on.

Brook and Gennady showed quite a few of their cards in that fight, I feel like Brook's stock has risen significantly more than Gennady's in the eyes of the public. That being said, I still feel like both shined that night. Brook showed he had superior boxing skills vs Gennady, but Gennady showed he can physically break a champion, even when being outboxed.

So I can understand criticism against him, but when boxing fans absolutely bag on these champions for looking "bad" I mean, it is shameful to the boxing community. I get it, we can all be emotional at times and get into the moment when the fighters we root for have a good or bad time. However, don't downplay these fighters from a comfy computer chair without thinking twice.

Anyone who has been a boxer can attest that it is no easy day when someone is throwing leather back at you. Hats off to all these guys, even Broner, who is a complete ****head in my opinion. Only reason I bring this up, is because GGG and so many other fighters get trashed so badly, no matter what they do.

More of an issue with the fans than anything else. I'm not saying you can't critize fighters by any means, I am just bringing to light that armchair quarterbacking a fighter by saying they suck makes you look like a p u s s y

Much of it is a byproduct of GGG fans bashing on Canelo, Ward, Mayweather. Then, those fans feel they need to "get back" at the GGG fans. All pretty ridiculous. I like him. I just have a hard time getting along with hardcore fans of any sort because they want to attack you if you disagree with them. I'm mostly neutral so I get it from all sides.

Gennady is a great fighter and a great guy. Most of everyone judges him on what he has accomplished so far, and have a realistic measure of where he is today.

His fans on the other hand - different story. That is where all the hate comes from. It was the same for Wlad Klitschko, and others, the fans are complete and utter idiots.

many reasons, biggest of all that he isnt american, and the american fans on here cant stand the fact that a guy from eastern europe is the talk of boxing. Obviously being successful breeds a lot of resentment and jealousy too. ANd some fans are genuinely su****ious of him, because they dont believe a fighter can be successful and exciting too, they have been brought up on fighters like ward, mayweather and hopkins. ANd because these fighters are insecure and criticise golovkin, so do their fans.

Why Max and Gennady? That's a big stretch. You go Max then John or maybe Chris, ****** Europeans and their dumb name logic .

There does seem to be some hate which takes away from the majority of GGG critics, those who just want to see him step up and seeing a lot of excuse-making for a champion in his mid-thirties carrying a barren resume.

We see someone who is not in a position to call shots against the A-side but won't make proper sacrifices and then claim he's being ducked.

We see a guy willing to move up for a Julio Cesar Chavez but won't entertain negotiations with Andre Ward once he came out of litigation.

We see a guy who struggles to make any sort of decent fight and while you can blame a part of it on the reluctance of others, he and his team deserve blame.

Ultimately, what it boils down to is that you have a fighter ranked by the mainstream boxing media as top five yet his best win is a C-class fighter. That will always draw the spotlight of criticism toward you.

Literally every single other title holder in his division has either ducked him or is pricing themselves out of a fight with GGG, yet rather than blame them, the critics somehow find a way to blame Golovkin

                  Quillen
                  Cotto
                  Canelo
                  Bjs
                  Eubanks
And now we're dealing with the Danny Jacobs fiasco.

some of it is also Cobra spookin out the dirty politics in boxing. there's also a strange consistency of die hard GGG fans on this site that enjoy blastering PBC..

it's quite obvious that there are rogue industry posters here. it's an area where they get to post their own fanboyism
