Making money is important in any profession. Its common sense. You have to know your worth. negotiating one's pay is very important in any position. But i guess everyone is different and some have tasted less or more sucess than others or maybe none at all. The higher you rise in any profession the more money one deserves and should demand. But its all based on merit and experience. GGG has earned the right to ask for what he feels he is worth. Will he get it? less most likely but he will have to find a number he is comfortable with accepting. Because the upside if he wins means higher earning potential. Difference is, Manny didn't need Mayweather to do numbers when he was offered that $40mil flat fee. Manny was doing just fine without it.

Golovkin on the other hand doesn't have a pot to piss in. Taking a $10mil flat fee is the best thing he might ever get in the entirety of his career.
