He's one of the only fighters i've known where his mandatories duck him. It's usually the champion ducking the mandatory.

It's a bit like Sisyphus in Greek mythology, his opponents push the boulder all the way up the hill to get to the top, except they see GGG at the top and just roll back down.

"I WILL MAKE NO CONCESSIONS FOR GGG!" while beltless and fanless.

it was a fair offer. most reasonable catchweight in modern history.
yeah, no. CWs for world titles are sad to the sport. even floyd vs canelo at 152 wasnt a good move but even that was more understandable than this situation considering canelo weighed at 153 prior to floyd and floyd never weighs in over 150 for JrMW. but even then it was a scar on the fight bc the cotto and oscar fights were at 154. ggg and his team offered 164 knowing ward couldnt make it but were fully and willing to let chavez and froch come in at 168, two men that rehydrate and are physically bigger than ward.

GGG is not even in his physical prime anymore and yet still... people running
Maybe, just maybe, Tyson landed those fights because his opponents got paid well, not low balled

GGG is #1 at 160, never fought at 168. Ward is #1 at 168. he was the b-side and the offer was still more than fair.

Why not compromise and fight at 164? perfectly reasonable.

WART won't make any concessions like the diva he is. doesn't even fight outside his backyard.

he's the one and only CoWard.
in wards absence froch was the no1 rated 168lber and kessler was no2. both retired no1 and no2 back to back. why would a more proven fighter with better wins, a better resume, and the favorite give up weight when his opponent was ready to let men bigger than him come into the fight where they feel comfortable?

didn't have to be for world titles.

why does GGG have to fight at Ward's weight class? If Ward wants a fight so bad, why doesn't he meet in the middle?

                  they both compromise.

"NO CONCESSIONS" Andre Wart....while beltless and fanless. it's the most ridiculous demand in history of boxing.

                  Ward is ducking Klitschko!

and its funny that ggg was ready to drop to 157 for gabe rosado, but wont drop weight for anyone else. wards moved up to fight kovalev, ggg fought 7 rounds this year vs someone whos on house arrest and a unproven ww jumping 2 weight classes that was making him miss half the time.
