While one fight beforehand for both would be the ideal situation... it's good to see this one signed. Leo seems to have hit a wall, while Carl is still improving. IMO we'll see a repeat, only more decisive this time.

I'll be rooting for Frampton again but the way LSC came on in the second half of the bout makes me wonder. How can you not root for a guy doing what the Jackal is doing lately? As it stands, he's got my vote for Fighter of the Year.Comment

There's no doubt in my mind that Frampton wins fighter of the year. He unified down at 122 and then got the fortunate nod against King Santa in New York.
If he doesn't win FOTY that means the system is rigged. Bigly.Comment

Cruz is a better combination puncher, Frampton throws better singles, so when they trade Leo would often get the better of it, thats what he does, throws punches in bunches.
I think Frampton should not worry about making it a good fight, he should pot shot, move, and box this time. I think he punches hard enough and is strong enough physically that Leo just can't rush him, we saw that much in the first fight.
I think Santa Cruz can also fight better, he can try to push the fight earlier, push the pace earlier, and see if Frampton drowns, although this could get him in trouble also.
Its a really great clash of styles.Comment

I think Frampton chose to trade in round 6 and 7, I am not sure why he did it, at no point did I get the impression that he was being forced to do it. I think he did it because he was comfortable with Leo's punching power, and he wanted to show some machismo and maybe even try and break Leo's heart, but I felt it backfired, as it brought Leo back into the fight, and gave him confidence.
