Comments Thread For: Tony Thompson: That Fool' Dillian Whyte Is C-Level, Easy Work

If a long-discussed Dillian Whyte-Dereck Chisora fight doesn't happen next month, Tony Thompson is more than willing to fight Whyte. Thompson is 45, but has pulled off upsets against then-unbeaten British heavyweight David Price and Cuban contender Odlanier Solis in recent years. The colorful former championship challenger doesn't think Whyte, who's 17 years younger than him, is nearly as good as many of the heavyweights the Washington, D.C., native has fought during his 16-year pro career.

Thought the Tiger had well retired by now. He can still be a gatekeeper, though, with his experience.

Thompson needs to watch the Lewison fight. I realize he's just looking for any payday to keep active and somewhat relevant, but small casino fight cards are about his level now... and not much more.

I don't have the slightest interest in seeing another Tony Thompson fight. He should hang em up.

He's absolutely right. Dillian ''Fool'' Whyte is level D! He looks like nightclub bouncer.

Hehehe, Tony is still one of the best talkers out there. He was awful against Scott aside from the KD and Ortiz crushed him but I think he might be able to hang around with Whyte. Still think I would take Whyte at this point, but it wouldn't shock me if it was a close fight

Yeah, i don't think Whyte is world level. I do think he's improving though, definitely tough and he's getting in better shape all the time and working with a good team.

I really do hope he keeps improving though and can get in the mix because he's a personality for sure. Some of his interviews are entertaining. I'm just not so sure he's that good.
