He did that exact thing with Dawson by luring him into it, then springing up with a left hook.

If you've analyzed Ward and Kovalev, it's not offering any deep insights. But, the music and overall production quality are great so it's very watchable.
Let's see. I don't really see it as a particularly risky punch for Kovalev. It's short and controlled.

I really can't wait for this fight.

Watching the jab part of the video, now I understand why Ward is classified as "boring".
-->Ward lands a solid jab then smothers his opponent to prevent a counter.
-->Kovalev lands a solid jab then follows it up with a straight punch.

Now Ward's is a very good offense to defense move. But it does not carry a lot of entertainment value.

Simplicity is always entertaining to the masses. Mainstream TV and film, pop music, fast food, etc.

For the educated eye, guys like Mayweather, Ward, and Lomanchenko can be extremely entertaining for the complexity of their work. That's the kind of thing that's inspiring to people who are working on expanding their technique.

Unfortunately, the video overlooked some of the brilliant things Kovalev has done but I think it was still pretty good overall.
