  • Comments Thread For: Hearn: I Hope Klitschko Takes Joshua Challenge - Not a Soft Touch!

Promoter Eddie Hearn is determined Anthony Joshua will defend his IBF heavyweight title in Manchester on December 10 - whether that is against Wladimir Klitschko or another fighter. Joshua and Klitschko had agreed terms on a world heavyweight title unification bout, but the contest has been thrown into doubt over issues with the sanctioning bodies.

Yeah right.. Hearn knew all along that there was always going to be another title & he himself has been saying that since the time they started negotiating, how come he is crying now that Klitschko has to make concessions.. Typical Hyena Hearn..

If Wlad faces Parker for the wbo belt with the IBO on the line also this would put a silver lining on an awful year regarding heavyweight action or more so inaction, the title holders haven't stepped up and the scenario regarding Fists of Fluff has been a mess.

Oh Parker's promoter is talking smack saying he is facing a soft touch, why not pair Parker then? Parker's guys took the WBO route instead of a sure shot at IBF & you know why..

He's used it as a delay so he can avert Pulev and Parker especially. He's shytting his pants worrying about the mandatory trying to squeeze in another creme puff like Price or Breazeale, or a rematch against the man that walks this earth like a god, Charlie Martin.

Is this seriously an issue or just PR BS? Surely the difference between Wlad accepting/rejecting the Joshua fight isn't whether there are 1 or 2 belts on the line?

This about Wlad not allowing the WBA to slip from his grasp permanently, the IBF will always be there as Joshua needs the Klitschko fight to solidify his real status as a champion. Hearn and Joshua obviously feel Klitschko has waned enough for them to take him on so should Wlad elect to delay the fight 8/9 months that's even better for the UK team they get to milk against guys like Price and a Whyte rematch then before the Pulev mandatory they can elect to unify avoiding Pulev and Parker in the process.
