Marquez is a legend whose accomplished a lot in this sport, his opinion should be held to a high regard. With that being said, wtf is he talking about? GGG's team isn't offering a 75/25 split, it's the WBA. The 75/25 split has been the standard for purse bids since its introduction. For example the Andrade-Culcay fight went to a purse bid and was a 75/25 split because that is the rule of thumb. Curbing the blame towards GGG is disingenuous. Very misleading article to say the least.

And for the record, Marquez only paid 25 percent when he fought Michael Katsidis. It's also worth noting that Katsidis was a lightweight titleholder at the time too. Seems like GGG's opponents are expecting hazard pay or something.

DUDE. Thank you. I was starting to believe every single person on this site was ******ed.

But this post has way too much logic. It will go ignored and the ****s on here like CaneloMaidana and SugarKaineHook will just continue to jerk off over the thoughts of GGG losing.

**** Marquez..... it's a purse bid,, ggg doesn't set split and Marquez is a double talking fool to act like he would give up percentages in a purse bid...
of all people you would think Marquez would understand ggg's position since Marquez was so avoided at feather..
And according to espn's Dan Raphael, ggg is overing a 67-33 split which is fair to both parties..

But Jacobs team rejected and now saying they need months to prepare..

If I'm golovkin and offered 67/33 and Jacobs says no, then **** Jacobs...

We all gave kovolev crap for withdrawing from a Stevenson purse bid,,, same scenario..

Ggg has no reason to budge... you would have to be a complete idiot to give Jacobs more than 33% especially when purse bid says Jacobs should only get 25%..

Jacobs needs to accept 33% or just duck n vacate the crap title he has.. that's the absolute best deal Jacobs can get and the only fight available that he can get a major payday..

33% of ggg fight >>> 100% of a mora fight

Why offer more??? And take less pay... like you would take a pay cut at work so your co worker could get a raise.. lmao

And it's been reported by espn's dan Raphael that golovkins team is offering a 67/33 split which is absolutely fair and Jacobs rejected..

So basically Jacobs will price himself out of a non ppv fight, duck a purse bid, now saying he needs months to prepare and can't make a December date..

But idiots will still think it's ggg's fault..

to finally land a meaningful fight ?

                    ok, fine..... you win.....

Golovkin should stick to his guns..... Jacobs will walk, and likely land a better risk/reward fight, against Eubank, Lemieux, Saunders, or Canelo..... and 36yo stuck-in-the-mud Golovkin..... will do what ?

fight Canelo, because that aint happening ?

fight Saunders..... because BJS just got offered 1.5mil and then watched the relatively unknown WELTER Brook make 4mil+, so that aint happening either

ok, fine..... but I really don't see how that will benefit GGG

..... also, Golovkin has a LOT of critics, check youtube..... that is why he will never be a PPV fighter despite having an attractive style..... maybe a meaningful fight would start to gain him some desperately needed exposure?

and you don't get to call 25% a duck..... want proof?..... you just said this..... "like you would take a pay cut at work so your co worker could get a raise"..... so good luck suggesting that Jacobs should make a career-changing decision for little more than "Quillin money"

fine..... to be honest, Jacobs aint no killer anyways, so it really aint that big a fight..... he would be just another contender without that WBA interim/pretend champ fcukery

fine..... so, what's next for Golovkin then.... and don't say Canelo or Saunders, because lil'G could not land a meaningful fight if his life depended on it and he has already scuttled BOTH of those fights..... he killed the Canelo fight TWICE, once over the weight, and then over the money

seriously, who does that guy want to fight ? LMAO

Lmao... Jacobs ain't landing anything... Brings no money... Saunders, eubanks, etc ain't fighting him... Ggg is a proven huge box office draw in the UK.. Him and Brook did huge numbers.... None of the UK guys will pass on ggg for jacobs...

Jacobs is all risk and no reward... Dude is an idiot for not forcing a ggg fight in a purse bid...
