Hopkins is fighting a young strong fighter with no title on the line and most likely not a lot of money(in Hopkins terms) on the line either..RESPECT

I don't see the upside of him taking this fight, he wins people say he beat a nobody, he loses they say he lost to a nobody. Should have tried to find a name to fight and end it that way win or lose. What kind of money can he make fighting this guy?

Hmm, I think you're underestimating Smith Jr.; he is coming off a knockout of a top 5 LHW in Andrez Fonfara(or at least a top 8 if you don't think he was top-10).

And he has close to an 80% KO ratio. His only loss is really early in his career in 2010 - so he hasn't lost in six years.

While the KO of Fonfara was, I believe in the first round, so might not tell us the most about him - still, the fact stands he knocked out a very, very good LHW in his last fight.

So he's got all the momentum, and confidence in the world going into this fight.

I actually give Hopkins a ton of props for taking this on as his last fight - not only is he coming off a thoroughly sound ass whipping at the hands of Kovalev, but that was TWO YEARS ago...

A true legend of the sport, if I cant make the fight I will watch it on tv. He is one of the GOATs and deserves a great send off. Gonna miss the guy rooted foemr and against him at times but always have massive respect for the living legend.

This will be a very tough fight for Hopkins and seeing how he lost to Kovalev it will be very interesting how this plays out don't sleep on Smith he brings a lot to the table and I wouldn't base this on the a payday Hopkins doesn't have nothing else to prove but much respect to this fight

Eh. Hopkins hasn't scored a knockout in twelve years. Smith shouldn't even take this fight. Hopkins is 51 years old for God's sake. Does anyone really want to see this?

We will never see someone like Hopkins again, not in the near future for sure.

Almost 52 fighting dangerous punchers and rarely looked bad in a defeat.

I will be tuning in for sure.

Nothing but respect for a hungry lion like B-Hop, a true warrior. A master boxer. He is a real inspiration - age is just a number; take care of your body and train, and your heart will do the rest!
