and the **** will jump off the sinking ship as soon as it happens, and onto the next great hope...
They did it with Berto and they'll do it with Ward to be quite honest they were never Ward fans in the first place they only jumped on that ship because Floyd retired.
Guess it's against the Floyd code of ethic to root for entertaining fighters hence why they distance themselves from Errol Spence who gets love on the forums from both sides.

Wait Berto was hope for some users here?jesus christ.
Ward is someone that skated by the rules of boxing with his size to be honest.
he made his boxing matches into wrestling matches at SMW. he could no longer do that at LHW that's why you see him box more, but as of late, he has been very very ordinary.
his strengths are actually holding, wrestling, and headbutting. for a boxer, he's a disgrace. his fan support demonstrates that. he does not have power, nor extreme speed nor great timing. he's just someone that hits then holds then controls for the most part.
All those advantages are gone at LHW. You will see what happens when reality hits him in 3 weeks.
Bowe is in the HOF for his trilogy with Holyfield. Certified HOFer. Great wins and draws for the sport of boxing.
Ward simply does not have a great win or a great draw. Froch is the same level as Benn, Collins and Eubanks, none of whom are in the HOF. this is simply a matter of "IF". he is not a lock for HOF.
He is Ward's best win.
Ward does not have HOFers on his resume. He does not have a dominant reign. He is not a draw. He is not getting in.
btw Michael Moorer is still way ahead of Ward. Ward has to beat Kovalev to be considered on Michael Moorer's level. Tall task.
If Ward gets KOed, his story is finished. No HOF.
Every single one of my original points stand. just LOL @ the detractors getting emotional mugslinging. try to deconstruct the points in my thread.
GGG is much more likely to get in HOF as of this point. Ward has a 50/50 fight coming up right now. His chances will be finished when he gets KOed
none of these points have been deconstructed. simple as that.
GGG should stay at MW to take the defenses record. Staying at MW would be better for his career than going up to 168. especially if he hasn't grown out of the division. he's not a steroid cheat like others who grow their bodies over time with PEDs. RJJ. Toney. Mayweather. Ward(Victor Conte). etc.
At this rate, he will take the consecutive KO defenses record too.
All the while being one of the biggest draws in boxing.
Dominant champion with multiple records that is exciting and draws great #'s.
First ballot hall of famer.
Ward on the other hand is over-hyped by a certain group due to the fact that this certain group are no longer dominant in boxing. Ward's resume is no better than Eubanks or Benn's. He is not a dominant champion and he skates by with close decisions. Froch is not an HOF lock because his best win is Bute. Froch had the draw but he simply does not have the resume. who is george groves? Kessler lost in his prime to Calzaghe and beat Froch.
If Ward loses to Kovalev, I agree. If Ward beats Kovalev, GGG will need to add to his resume, but as it stands right now, he most definitely does. Wards resume is not that impressive, he has two really good wins and he is coming off of inactivity. GGG has been active, winning, and beating champions.
See now I'm confused. You're back to resumes even though you just admitted because of Ward's lack of ticket sales and bad relationship with the media he's not likely to get in.
Since we're back on resumes can you name a fighter on GGG's resume equal to or better than Froch, Abraham, Kessler, Dirrell or Ward?
it's like this group of morons can't think outside of a single layer.
since the OP i've said you need dominance, popularity and resume.
what part of this do you not get?
GGG can simply break the defense record with top 10 contenders. He will be in the HOF by default. he has the dominance over a division like Monzon, Hopkins and Tzyu. He has the popularity being the top draw in boxing. And he will have records.
Popularity is more important than even the record. as said Stallone is in the HOF. Gatti is in the HOF. GGG is the face of boxing right now.
Ward does not have popularity nor a reign. He will need a wayyyyyyyyyyy better resume to compete. at this current time he doesn't even have any HOF locks on his resume.

Would Jacobs get in if he beats GGG? He doesn't seem to unpopular with the media and he'll become unified champ. How many middleweight defenses does have?
