maidana v broner. People have revised it and made out it wasnt a big shock but noone gave maidana a hope before hand and he absolutely demolished him. On the domestic scene , campbell v mendy was a pretty big upset recently

I probably had Broner a slight fav but Maidana winning was not out of the realms of possibility if one was a true boxing fan.

fair enough mate, i dont think people saw the manner of it coming though, i wasnt on the forum at the time but from what i remember maidana didnt get much of a prayer from the mailboxes etc that i read.

I've been shocked many times but one that had thinking days later, "Did that really happen?" was Maidana almost beating Mayweather the first fight.

Also, Maidana vs Morales. Morales is my all time favorite fighter but I thought Maidana was going to murder him so I refused to buy the fight. I regret it so much now.

You just imagined Floyd pitty-patting to a wide UD, but the first 6 rounds passed and Maidana bullied the hell out of Floyd, almost sweeping the entire first half of the fight.

I think 32 of 35 boxing writers and media reporters picked Broner to win by wide ud or ko.
It didn't surprise me that Maidana won, but it was how he won, he battered Broner.
