    De La Hoya Bandwagon

Same thing happens everytime a big fighter wins such as Pacquiao, Mosely, Hopkins and most of all Mayweather Everybody jumps on the bandwagon and starts to talk about him beating another fighter or that they said all along that he would win I am not having a go or anything im just saying stick with your fighters guys not support anybody that wins now I know alot of the guys on this website are Ricardo Mayorga fans but nothing has been said since the fight on saturday to support the guy (even tho he got whooped) I`m just reading through some of these posts now and seeing the same thing Do you guys think the same thing???

There's a lot of discussion, because people are starved for big fights and this was a widely watched one where Oscar impressed high above expectation after a 20+ month layoff.

I see nothing wrong with people giving props where they're due.

no, maybe because I'm mainly always at the pinoy lounge. I say it's their bragging right. I also said in a thread that hoya will win this one easily but since nobody is supporting mayorga anymore as you said then I'm giving him my support.

He should have sticked to his idea of backing out of the fight because he was getting too little. Maybe, mayorga should look for another title again then fight another comebacking fighter like maybe tito again. LOL!

DLH is the man! F the Haters!

I found this website looking for more articles on "DLH" and found my way into the forums. I gotta say, you all are pretty Fking entertaining!

Anyhow. I agree with the bandwagon generalization. I read a ton of post from El Matador fans before the fight, saying how he was gonna "wipe the floor with dlh". NOw, I don't even hear anyone supporting him. I mean, I think his wins over Forest count for something. You don't become champ by sucking. Mayorga kicked the **** out of all of us.

But now everyone calls him "amatuer". No one said that before the fight. And now because DLH made this guy look like a jackoff, his demolition of Mayorga's face is dismissed or not given full credit. Mainly by the haters thoough.

Fact: DLH was pissed on saturday (I think he caught Mayorga looking at wife's ass).

Fact: DLH has always been elite. From day 1. Olympics to title bout after title bout.

Fact: DLH only fights in the big fights.

Fact: DLH stands a good chance of beating anyone in his division today.

Fact: He's always been this good and at times great. Deal with it haters.

Exactly. When there is a big fight and someone performs even better than expected, people get excited about it and that lasts for a few days. By the weekend everyone will be talking about Hatton-Collazo or other fights, but it is only Tuesday and a lot of people are still hungover on DLH. That is not 'bandwagon' or 'nuthugging', it is just appreciation.

I picked Mayorga to win ,not because I thought he was the better fighter,
but because I just like mayorga, and I thought he might be able to land that one big shot, but he didn't ,he loss, **** it ,I still like him
