I'd take Brook/Cotto for the vacant WBO title, but I think Cotto still doesn't wants any part of Brook. I'd pick Brook by stoppage over Liam Smith, then he could unify with J-Rock after he beats Jermall.

Spence and J-Rock should've took interim fights instead of waiting so long.

Canelo might be a much better fighter at 160 than he is at 154/155, due to not draining himself to make weight, but we've no way of knowing how much better. So if GGG steam rollered and KO'd him, at 160, he likely wouldn't get the credit he deserved for doing it. As with Kell Brook, people would bring up the fact that Canelo is not a career MW and use it to discredit GGG's achievement.

Thinking about it, it might actually do more for GGG's resume and P4P claim if Brook beat Canelo, rather than GGG doing it himself!
"Thinking about it, it might actually do more for GGG's resume and P4P claim if Brook beat Canelo, rather than GGG doing it himself!" That's a great point! However, I feel that if Brook beat Canelo, it would just totally diminish Canelo's credibility! Brook was not even a dominant welterweight, and his resume reflects that. Boxing needs GGG vs. Canelo! If Brook beat Canelo @ 154 or 157, the fight never happens!

If Canelo is such a chump that he can't even beat Kell Brook, why do these same folks want to see him fight Golovkin? Other than wanting GGG to get a hugh pay check, it makes no sense to lobby for that fight. The only sure way for GGG to achieve ring immortality is move up to 168 and clean out that division. Otherwise there will always be an asterisk next to his name.

Glad too see him back and doing what he does best. I know he's expressed interest in fighting Canelo next but I'd prefer he take a tune-up fight. Not to throw shade on Khan, but that match-up makes the most sense right now for both guys.

Looks like there are still a lot of butt hurt Pac fans on this site...putting up dumb ass videos that have nothing to do with the Kell Brook thread.

Brook will avoid Spence at 147 and use weight as an excuse. spence walks around in the low 170's too.

Brook will look for Cotto, a winnable fight, but will avoid Andrade or Lara for sure. Both would beat him badly.

Someone explain to me without bringing up another fighter why on Earth does Brook deserve high profile fights not at 147? Because he hugged Porter to death a few years ago? Because he broke his face vs GGG?

Wish I could tell you. Guy needs to either defend his strap or work his way into JMW. People need to stop pretending he's an elite fighter based on 1 win.
