There has been more Granite Chins in boxing than there is in the whole Chinese phone book, but if you get tagged just right, you are going down.
I expect Jacobs to drop GGG early, then depending on how well GGG handles it, maybe stop him.
If Jacobs doesn't catch GGG early, I think he will get a weary GGG late, or just dominate the late part of the fight and win a decision.
If GGG doesn't stop Jacobs within 6, I think GGG gets too weary to win late.Comment

People get in love with that power but they forget that GGG's set of skills (great footwork, timing, judging of distances, balance and the ability to disrupt his opponent rhythm) help GGG to deliver his power and brake his opponents down. Also GGG can take a punch, he keeps his chin tucked.
GGG backs out with his hands down and chin on a T.
Look how that WW had him backing out with his hands down.Comment

too true, good call
I think that Golovkin is durable, and skilled..... but more importantly, he will approach this fight differently than he did with Brook. Golovkin knew that Brook was over-matched. Jacobs aint gonna blast him out of there, and the only real way I can see Jacobs outlasting him would be if he can cut Golovkin or hurt him.
Golovkin tko7, but I think the fight will be competitive at times..... Danny will be in that fight early, and he has a chance, but Golovkin should win and look good doing so.
Jacobs will be/become " available ".
Be surprised if Team Golovkin let this fight slip away to be honest. It's a good fight for them.
It'll be pandemonium after this fight.
There must be another GGG running around because the one I see is there to be had.Comment

Agree with the assessment. Jacobs has to earn some respect early to maintain some control of the fight. If Jacobs can make the fight ugly, he has a shot. If he let's Trip control distance, he will eventually get caught and a likely TKO will ensue.
If Trip can sit behind his jab and win like he did against Lemieux, Jacobs never belonged in the ring with him.
Jacobs isn't 5'7 like David Lemieux...GGG won't be able to casually sit behind his jab and drop it to his waist like he did against lil Davey.Comment

GGG's best bet is to take middle of ring and counter. Fight a war of attrition and get in body shots that slow down and wear down Danny. Then once he does that he can start his normal walk-down routine. Essentially he fights as he did against Monroe but he can't take the same shots he took against Monroe as Jacobs has far more power than Mongoose junior.
I have the feeling that Golovkin has a just a few more nuances to his game that he hasn't really needed to bring out up until now - will be interested to see if he can out box Danny but I think he has a better chance going into a war of attrition with better defence than shown up until now.Comment
