How can we say Jabobs is rated higher than Saunders if Saunders is undefeated and beat higher ranked fighters than Jacobs...i know it is nit picking but am just curious.

The ratings are fairly loose and subjective, mainly b/c these guys are soooooo inactive that they fail to separate themselves from one another.
I'm always frustrated when I see people rate Tureano Johnson so high. I'm desperate to see a promising challenger emerge, but Johnson's biggest wins were O'Kane and Gavronski and looked far from impressive in either of those fights.
Then you have Heiland, who's win over Macklin was 2 years ago (his win over Godoy was more impressive) and he's been sitting on that #1 position in fear of losing.
Khurtsidze is getting a tad overrated with his Douglass victory b/c he's got nothing else to support it.

My ideal list
1-Gennady Golovkin
2-Daniel Jacobs
3-Billy Joe Saunders
4-David Lemieux
5-Andy Lee
6-Peter Quillin
7-Chris Eubank Jr
8-Maciej Sulecki
9-Sergiy Derevyanchenko
10-Avtandil Khurtsidze

Then you have guys like Khurtsidze, who's old, tiny but a nightmare matchup and Quillin, who may move to SMW after.
There's nothing wrong with the MW division. There are 3-4 guys who have not faced each other yet but are all good fighters. It's not much different than LHW, if we say Golovkin=Kov, Canelo=Ward, DL or DJ=Adonis, Alvarez=BJS, Monroe=Chilemba, Gvozdyk=Derevyanchenko.. etc
When one guy is seen to be dominating the division there will always be people who say it's because the division sucks. It has nothing to do with the truth - people have their little agendas and they overreact to everything.
The weakness of the middleweight division is pretty much an accepted fact amongst real boxing connoisseurs.

I have a question about Johnson and that is that since he lost to Curtis Stevens how is it possible for him to be rated higher than Stevens?
Johnson won an eliminator vs O'Kane, prior to that, Stevens lost an eliminator to N'Dam, who then lost to Lemieux.

Quillen is going to have a tough time at 168.
