How can we say Jabobs is rated higher than Saunders if Saunders is undefeated and beat higher ranked fighters than Jacobs...i know it is nit picking but am just curious.

That's fair. Take away Quillin from Jacobs and Lee from Saunders, and Saunders clearly has the better resume, hands down. But Quillin was rated a clear #2 when Danny beat him and Lee I think most had at #4-5.

The ratings are fairly loose and subjective, mainly b/c these guys are soooooo inactive that they fail to separate themselves from one another.

I'm always frustrated when I see people rate Tureano Johnson so high. I'm desperate to see a promising challenger emerge, but Johnson's biggest wins were O'Kane and Gavronski and looked far from impressive in either of those fights.

Then you have Heiland, who's win over Macklin was 2 years ago (his win over Godoy was more impressive) and he's been sitting on that #1 position in fear of losing.

Khurtsidze is getting a tad overrated with his Douglass victory b/c he's got nothing else to support it.

          My ideal list

          1-Gennady Golovkin
          2-Daniel Jacobs
          3-Billy Joe Saunders
          4-David Lemieux
          5-Andy Lee
          6-Peter Quillin
          7-Chris Eubank Jr
          8-Maciej Sulecki
          9-Sergiy Derevyanchenko
          10-Avtandil Khurtsidze

            Heiland

Then you have guys like Khurtsidze, who's old, tiny but a nightmare matchup and Quillin, who may move to SMW after.

There's nothing wrong with the MW division. There are 3-4 guys who have not faced each other yet but are all good fighters. It's not much different than LHW, if we say Golovkin=Kov, Canelo=Ward, DL or DJ=Adonis, Alvarez=BJS, Monroe=Chilemba, Gvozdyk=Derevyanchenko.. etc

When one guy is seen to be dominating the division there will always be people who say it's because the division sucks. It has nothing to do with the truth - people have their little agendas and they overreact to everything.
Nah, Golovtards are the ones with the agenda. They hate the fact that Golovkin is fighting in a weak division.

The weakness of the middleweight division is pretty much an accepted fact amongst real boxing connoisseurs.

I think I may need to redo my list. I didnt include Quillen on mine due to in-activity so using that logic Lee and Saunders shouldn't be in the list either (even though Saunders is a world title holder). I have a question about Johnson and that is that since he lost to Curtis Stevens how is it possible for him to be rated higher than Stevens?

Don't bother, Quillin said he's moving up to 168 next.

Johnson won an eliminator vs O'Kane, prior to that, Stevens lost an eliminator to N'Dam, who then lost to Lemieux.

Ok thanks man I wasnt too sure. I know that the O'Kane v Johnson fight was for #1 Contender on the Lemeiux v Golovkin fight card.

Quillen is going to have a tough time at 168.

I'd love to see Quillin vs Anthony Dirrell, might pick the Dog by stoppage.
