Well it depends how much money he's actually getting paid. I mean, when you figure the live gate, plus ad revenue concessions and so forth, I'd say the event can easily make over 10-15 million. Garcia gets paid probably 1.5 million or less, his opponent probably lucky if he gets 350k. So I don't think anybody is getting robbed, except for the fans who want to see better fights. As an employee, do you feel like you robbed your employer if one day of work is easier than the other? Do you give money back to your employer if today was easier than yesterday? Garcia is fighting an easy opponent and getting paid less to do it. While the people who are putting on the event absolutely make more than he does.Comment

I wasn't a believer in Danny at first, but khan, lucas and just seemed to keep finding ways to win every fight.....but I think those near losses have messed with him physiologically, his resume has been complete doodoo as of late.
He went from whatever, to one of my favorite fighters, back to whatever....however, a fight with thurman would restore my faith in himComment

Like I've said elsewhere, I'm good with ONE more tuneup/easy fight, just so '17 gives us Garcia/Thurman. And you can dog me for evermore, but I predict Danny pulls enough different angles and tricks out the book to get a UD over Keef. Yes, Swift has been in too many easy fights lately, but still there's no way he's lost his abilities. Like Manny Steward said, the guy does everything well. And he excels in working all kinds of different ways to win. If one thing doesn't work, he usually has another to bring in. Herrera was the only one who vexed him, so yes, he does have an Achilles heel. I just don't think Thurman is a good enough boxer to exploit it.Comment
