I was following Loeffler until he said a win would put Jacobs at the top of the sport of boxing. Exaggerate much? I hope he does want to reach a deal and realized what most of us realize regarding Jacobs unwillingness to fight the top guy in his division for what he views as regular money. To me it's in both fighters interest to maximize their purse. This fight could change the trajectory of both of their careers.

But that boxing!!! You have to challenge the champ in order to become the champ and all the benefits that comes with it. These challengers all of a sudden don't understand how rankings work?? EVERYONE'S goal is to become the champ of their division. Simple as that.

By the way, Jacobs admitted he couldn't even sell out HALF his hometown venue fighting against Haymon's other best middleweight, BOTH in their home towns! GGG sold out MSG in a foreign country and his ratings also show he is AT LEAST four times more marketable than Danny Jacobs.

So, you know, you don't know ****. Jacobs is lucky to get 25% and if he doesn't take it, it just proves he's scared of GGG like all the rest.
On that basis how much should GGG make against Canelo. GGG does 17K in MSG, Canelo does 50K plus in Dallas. Careful what you wish for.

Not so much Golovkin's career. It will solidify a criticized resume. It would be his best win but not a spectacular win at this point. He'd gain over some of the haters. But there'd be even more people demanding he move up and they might be right because if G knocks out Jacobs what chance o you think there'd be of Saunders or Canelo manning up?
Loeffler meanwhile is right. If not quite making Jacobs top of boxing a win would see him catapulted into top ten P4P and open gates - I'd see Saunders and Canelo much more willing to fight him than Golovkin and I reckon a couple of LMWs would thing about stepping up including Lara and Andrade. Jacobs should think about that before turning down 65/35 which I reckon is fair and only 5% off what he wants.

I understand what Jacobs "wants" but he must understand what he "deserves." No difference from what GGG "wants" from Canelo, and what GGG "deserves." Jacobs should take the 25%, and GGG should take that $10 million dollars!

The situations are so much different. How many more views or tickets is Jacobs going to sell? This is a fight to please the hardcore fans.

GGG will most likely triple Canelo's current buy rate. GGG brings tons of financial value in that situation, where Jacobs brings very little in this one.

That fight has to happen, 70-30 or 65-35 in favor of GGG is pretty fair. Both sides should stop being so greedy and make that fight happen. A lot of good fights are available after that one, this fight will only help these guys get their names out there. 2 Middleweight champions with power have to meet and make an explosion.

That's my only issue with GGG fans. Ok so say Jacobs wins the fight and a rematch happens. I bet $$$$$ to donuts GGG fans will scream bloody murder on Jacobs then getting 75% and GGG 25%. They would say all the excuses we've already heard.

                      Jacobs doesn't have fans
Jacobs doesn't even sell out his hometown.
                      Blah, blah....Heck they think Canelo/GGG is a 50/50 split??? They're insane.
