154 Pounder Ouma exposed Golovkin's defense

Mind you this Ouma was way past it, I saw him a couple of fights ago against Roman Karmazin who was beating him from pillar to post at 154. Then Golovkin fights him and I don't know howyou can get hit 3,4 even 5 times flush one after the other and against a weak puncher who was way past it.

People talk about fighters being exposed but let's be honest here even though Ouma was small, had no power and his prime was gone Ouma is still the most skillful guy on Gennady's resume.

You'd be surprised my friend, some people think that his defense is better than Rigondeaux and that he would knock out Hagler, another southpaw but with power.

We get this sort of thread almost daily on NSB, but i am surprised that no one else could implement anything close to that since... maybe GGG had an off night, there were some stories going around that he had to sleep in the airport (visa problems), Ouma by that point was past it and GGG has fought better fighters since. I don't know GGG's always been easy to hit dating back to the amateurs. It's just that he hasn't fought many guys with skills.

So since he can't hurt him GGG decides to use his face as a shield, I am not even talking about all the body shots he took.

GGG has never been down. Rigo has been down multiple times in less than half the fights.


he has a defensive deficiency. he was getting concussed in there.



Chin is a part of your defense. Same as power is a part of your offense.

it's a natural fighter attribute like speed. if your chin is weak, your defense is weaker. you are more likely to be KOed in any fight even with a complete bum.
