Canelo's footwork is good enough to get the job done. He hasn't lost a fight since he lost to Mayweather. Posters on here often exaggerate the flaws of fighters they dislike. Canelo had good enough footwork combined with his other skills to beat Trout, Cotto and Lara.

I can get why someone can defend the style of Canelo, but saying that GGG is flatfooted to defend him is just painfully wrong.
GGG maybe doesn't have fast feet, but he isn't flatfooted at all, he actually has great footwork and cuts the ring better than any boxer today.Comment

Toney was flat footed. Wilder is very flat footed.Comment

I can think in some flatfooted greats, Toney, Patterson, early Marquez wasn't having really good movement, McCallum, Jose Torres, but, they brought something special to their game.
Toney was a master at counterpunching, had great footwork on the inside, fast, accurate, hard puncher, great chin, skilled, great defense, almost perfect besides the footspeed (and the training habits).
Patterson had the fastest hands at heavyweight at one point, with great skills, a tight guard, good balance, power and huge heart.
Juan Manuel Marques is one of the greatest counterpunchers of all time, one of the best combination punchers of all time, great at feinting, picking spots, closing the distance, fast, good puncher and even he knew his footwork wasn't up there with his skill, so he took ballet classes.
McCallum was a well balanced fighter, good puncher, great skills, awesome counterpuncher, the best body puncher of all time, great chin, decent speed and was always learning and learning becoming one of the most intelligent boxers ever in the ring.
Jose Torres is almost like Patterson, without the huge speed and lesser power but with better defense.Comment
