Roy Jones UD.
If he got caught, he would have problems.
But Roy didn't get caught at 160.
Roy is possibly the only fighter in history that you couldn't time in his prime, He was just too fast, and he was on defense while he was on offense. If you threw a punch while he was punching to try and time him, he would just slip your punch in the middle of throwing his own punch, or even just abandon his punch and make you miss.
GGG has a lot going for him, especially in today's landscape, but I don't think his hands are nearly fast enough to ever give Roy problems.
Roy wasn't at his best at 160 though. I think he was much faster at 168 than he was at 160. He was boiling down to 160. If you look at the weights he fought at. He won the title against Hopkins, then took 3 tunups before defending against Tate. He weighted 166, 168, and 166 in those 3 fights.
He had real power at 160 though. Knocking out Tate who even Julian Jackson couldn't stop.Last edited by !! Shawn; 10-13-2016, 12:43 PM.Comment

Jones had the epitome of an untested chin untill Tarver tested it for cracks(and what a coincidence, the glass shattered the first time it got hit good) and you're here discrediting GGG's 'unproven chin' even though he has walked through bombs without flinching in his entire career including hundreds of amateur bouts.Comment

We'll fight anyone from 154-168. Except they won't fight Ward at 168, they won't fight Canelo at 155, and they won't fight Lara at any weight.
Kicking 35 in the arse and not one quality win yet and no concrete plan to fight the type fighters that would challenge g string.
The 155 was a joke, and Oscar would never have let it happen anyway.
Lara's manager, Luis DeCubas, has recently stated that they're happy at JMW, there'd be lots of obstacles to overcome to make the fight, and that Tom Loeffler has met with Haymon to discuss the possibilities.Comment

LOL first post and the irony is beyond unbearable.
Jones had the epitome of an untested chin untill Tarver tested it for cracks(and what a coincidence, the glass shattered the first time it got hit good) and you're here discrediting GGG's 'unproven chin' even though he has walked through bombs without flinching in his entire career including hundreds of amateur bouts.
he had 49 fights before the first tarver fight and got hit clean several times and was only dropped once and that was in his 3rd division
Tarver in fight one, Del Valle, Toney, Hopkins, and others all landed hard shots on him and he kept it moving
what is it with you fools and the amatuers
amatuer results dont matter when discussing pro fights
im not discrediting nothing....its called facts...has GGG faced any fighter at 160 with the speed power and accuracy of toney....no.....tarver....no......Hopkins...no
so his chin is not very tested vs top level punchers
stevens and lemieux have 0 kos vs top ten middleweights.....you fan boys hate factsComment
