What is the fight worth to K2 (MSG, HBO, supported by whatever K2 can bring to the table) versus what is the fight worth to DiBella (Barclays Center, Showtime, supported with meaningful fights for a NYC-centered audience)?

If giving up 75% of a flat amount is the cost of doing business, I don't see DiBella/Haymon having any issue with it.

Jacobs wanted a sweeter split, being that he holds the WBA regular middleweight crown. Golovkin holds the WBA's XXL version. The WBA didn't see the logic of

I really hope the WBA doesn't mandate Golovkin/Blanco. I'd rather see a deal where Golovkin fights Quillin or Anthony Dirrell or Lara and Jacobs fights Blanco as the co-main and they use that to build a ppv for March '17. They could agree to have one fight in MSG and the other in Barclay.
      Even Steven lol

So make a deal where Haymon agrees to give Golovkin a fight with Lara or Quillin for a reasonable price and have Danny fight Blanco on the undercard, with an agreement in place that the winners fight in March on ppv.

        I hope K2 recognizes - Golovkin/Blanco is a setback.
what makes you think the fight will be any more makeable in March than it is right now?

Doing a double-header in December to promote their fight in March, in theory would make it a bigger event. K2 would only agree to do the interim fight if Jacobs signs for the March fight.

That never stopped Golvokin and his camp from talking about fights against Floyd Mayweather or Miguel Cotto or Saul Alvarez or Felix Sturm, or any other fight that they felt that they were happy to take. Heck, Golovkin and Co were on that "we whoop everyone 154-168" before Andre Ward pulled their card at 168 and Saul Alvarez pulled their card at 154.

Golovkin was allegedly unable to get anyone courageuos enough to step in with him, yet he did nothing to try and speed up the mandatory fight (as the WBA had been openly trying to clear up their tiers of belts).

Golovkin's actual actions tell a different story from the one that his fans want to tell.

Golovkin has no problem fighting Jacobs and the fact you're suggesting otherwise is laughable. Jacobs declined a fight a while back because of the money and it looks like he's doing the same thing again, but I think an agreement can be reached.

If you actually read the article, you would've seen that literally nothing was said about Jacobs vacating the belt.

As usual, rather than reading anything, you blatantly make some **** up, hoping that no one actually goes and checks the information.

Can't deny your hero's team is quiet when it comes to calling Danny's name.

That is to be expected from a guy that stayed in the amateurs until he was dragged away kicking and screaming

Fighters are going to fight; to try and insinuate that Jacobs has some issue with fighting Golovkin is silly.

Still, the folks behind the fighters may have different motivations.

Because, let's stick to reality; Golovkin's fights have been backed by sizable money since at least 2014 (the alleged German TV money, HBO putting up money, and Golovkin really starting to sell tickets), yet K2 has found ways to keep Golovkin in fights where he's the 8:1 favorite or higher.

The man's been a professional fighter for 10 years, has had some version of a world title for the last 6 years, yet he's never been in a remotely competitive fight (Golovkin-Brook, with Brook coming up two weight classes, was 5:1 at that was his most competitive fight).

                      That doesn't happen by happenstance.
